2015 Silverado stereo help!!

I am having problems getting my system tuned… Let me start by describing exactly what I have. Vehicle is a 2015 Silverado double cab with non Bose system. I am keeping the factory head unit. Here is what I have installed and how I installed it. Front door 6x9 was replaced with focal PS 165v component system. Tweeter is mounted in dash where factory 3” speaker was. Rear door factory speakers were replaced with Focal ISC 165 6-3/4. I have a 4 channel Precision Power A 400 art series 4 channel amplifier, and a smaller Precision Power art series A 100 (I think that’s the right model) art series 2 channel behind the rear seat. Sound processor is an Audio Control DQ-61. Subwoofer is JL audio 8” in a custom box.

Next, I will describe how everything is connected. I cut into the factory harness with green plug behind head unit using the below as a guide. Used 9 conductor speedwire cable to run to rear of truck.

Left Front Speaker (+/-) // blue - brown/blue // radio, green 16 pin plug, pins 1 - 9

Right Front Speaker (+/-) // yellow - yellow/black // radio, green 16 pin plug, pins 2 - 10

Left Rear Speaker (+/-) // green - green/black // radio, green 16 pin plug, pins 3 - 11

Right Rear Speaker (+/-) // white - blue/black // radio, green 16 pin plug, pins 4 – 12

The front high level inputs are hooked to front inputs of DQ 61 and rear high level inputs are hooked to rear input on DQ-61. I have front and rear inputs going to my 4 channel amp, channel 3 is going to my 2 channel PPI which is mono bridged to the subwoofer. Front speaker output from amplifier goes to the focal woofer crossover which is mounted on back wall. Then, I have another wire running from the focal woofer crossovers input running to the tweeter crossover that is mounted near the drivers door. Passenger side is the same setup. The rear door speakers are wired to the 4 channel amps other output. The rear door speakers have crossover built in to speaker. All speakers have new wire run to them, did not use factory speaker wire. Remote turn on for amplifiers is sourced from the DQ 61 signal sensing turn on. (which is a nice feature). Here is my problem. This stereo sounds awful. The front door speakers get way too much bass and voices sound muffled. Let me describe how I began the tuning process with my limited experience.. All amplifier gains are turned down to their minimum. I matched the head units output with the DQ 61 and find that the middle position on input is where it needs to be. With the head unit turned up to ¾ volume the clipping led starts to flash. This is what the instructions said to do. All DQ 61 outputs are set to the halfway point as well. I go ahead and plug in all of my RCA cables to amplifiers and everything works. I use the audio control knob to adjust the left and right signal delay, then the subwoofer delay. Sound stage seems to line up pretty well, but there is just way too much bass coming from front speakers. I have to turn the bass under the tone settings menu on head unit all the way down. That makes it sound even worse.

Did I hook something up incorrectly? I know this might just be an issue of tuning correctly but having all eq settings set in the middle should sound much better than it does, I think.. Any insight on this will be a great help.

Thanks

Chad

Sounds like this install was much more complicated than it should've been. Once I saw u cut the harness I pretty much stopped reading. If you still have the ends to that factory harness hook them back up and buy that install kit for a 2015 Silverado with no Bose system. Buy some speaker wire to tv's adapters and run all your rca to your factory head unit. The rest is history.
