2015 Honda Fit, is a JL Cleansweep really needed? Big difference?

Factory OEM unit

I am leasing a 2015 fit, although I'll prolly keep it. I need a trunk, I am not looking to go crazy. I am more into SQ, not SPL, but I am not a competition status guy. I only want one amp. I purchased, JBL MS-A1004, JBL MS-A1004 400W 4-Channel Amp w/ Digital Input Mixer.

I plan to use channel 1 & 2, for all four speakers. I plan to wire them together into a 2ohm load. I had this in my last car.

Channel 3 & 4 will be bridged into my JL 8in w3 micro ported sub. It is exactly what I wanted in my small car. Small, ported size, more than loud and deep enough for a small hatchback.

I really don't have a ton of money to spend, I wanted to do the MS8 but wife will not even come close to allowing that and I also don't have the room. Should I save my money and have an JL Clean sweep put in, or will something like, NVX XPLOC4 600W (150W/ch) 4-Channel Line Output Converter be okay.

How much of a difference will a clean sweep truly make with the amp I purchased? I've read in reviews people saying it makes a huge difference, and people saying it doesnt.

I have a JL Cleansweep in my 2012 CRV at it works very well, but it is expensive for what it does, and I really wish I could 'tweak' the frequency response to my liking after auto-calibration. You will definitely hear a big improvement with just new amps and speakers

If budget is an issue and you have access to an analyzer for tuning, you could install an equalizer/line driver (autotek, clarion, etc) for $70 to $90 bucks and dial it in to your liking. Most of them accept high level inputs right from the OEM headunit. AudioControl makes some nice OEM interface products as well and you can usually pick them up at a decent price on eBay. Check out the DQ-61 and other OEM products here...

OEM Integration

The JBL amplifier you linked does everything a cookie cutter LOC does and then some. You can connect your factory audio system directly to the amplifier. Knowing where to get the signal is important, as well as understanding this is still not going to take care of existing EQ curves, bass cancellation, and any other signal processing that will give you anything but a flat and undelayed input signal. That is where MS-8 comes in. If any of your speakers have time delays that is the only OEM integration equalizer that makes any attempt to do something about factory time alignment.
