I finally got my Rocksford Fosgate P2 12' Dual voice coil sub installed 2day. Its amazing and i love it! Its hooked up 2 a Kenwood amp @ 8 ohms and its pushing about 250 RMS. Its also tuned and installed in a ported box. Here are some pics....

haha. well i didnt want to go tooo huge. lol AND I ON A VERY VERY slime budget. What can I do @ home to turn down the bass? On the head unit its all the way down? i just want more hout my mids and highs. I cant barley hear the voices in the music??

no everything has its own different settings. During the gain down won't really affect the others.

12 sq inches of port FTW... Get a cheap 4 channel and some decent components and you will be able to hear your highs and mids over the bass better and the overall sound is so much better. Shouldnt cost ya more than $150 used

Make sure the bass boost on the amp is at 0.

Happy to see you over @ this forum and not just the SX4 forum. I'm "Brick" over there.

Glad everything is working well for you. Turn the bass boost on your amp all the way down. Then adjust the gain to an appropriate level. Then use your H/U to fine tune it during play time.

looks nice man im running 250 rms on my sub too its the way to go for budget but yeah definitely turn the gain down if you dont want a lot of bass
