2008 Dodge Quad Setup

Hey-

My last truck I had 6 fosgate mids and 4 tweeters in the dash, 2 mids were mono center stage. I thought about putting some mid's up there but current thought is that comps in the doors image better?? In my experiance this has not been the case? I have yet to find a setup in a truck that images as well as my fosgate setup. I thought I would try comps in the doors since that's thats the "in" thing right now, I can always add later. I figured what the hell, if the 6's will fit all the way around might as well.

I have an '07 QC. I trimmed the front doors to accomated Polk Momo 6x9s. As someone mentioned, it's not worth trimming the back doors. I have a Momo 5 1/4 Comp set in mine. Also, I placed 3's and tweets under the front dash piece. For subs, I used the Qlogic boxes, stuffed them with polyfill and used both Kicker CVR and CVX --10s. Good call on the soundproofing. I've since added more mids and his and removed the back seat for more 'boom.'

I've been all over on the sub's but decided to try the JL 10w3v3's. I've never heard them but from what I read they don't ****, should be able to handle some power too. What do you think about the JL's?

i was talking about making a mount for the to fit the door..not onto the panel..

I also like the 10w3

I do think the PDX1000.1 would be a bit much for them

the PDX 600.1 would be a better match

Since my last post, I took a Dremel and trimmed the center placement under the front dash to accommodate a pair of 4x6 Momo plates. Nice call on the W3s. Nice bump. Installing a pair later in the week in a friends truck.

I have a 07 QC and I am looking for a sub box. I would prefer a single sub so I can have a little storage. Any suggestions? Also 10 or 12?

And my last newbie question is what does the poly fill do or help with?
