2005 Mercedes C230 Kompressor Sedan- Help

Hey guys,

I'm going to install an amp and some drivers in my buddy's car this weekend. I briefly looked over his car, and it looks like I'll have to drill through his firewall to run the power wire. My question is, is there an easier way to run the wire without drilling? Like a hidden compartment, or what not? I'd hate to drill through his car.

Also, does anyone know of an easy access in the trunk to wire up a Hi/Lo converter? He has a factory Harmon Kardon system if that helps any.

I know a common trick would be to run through the steering column boot that runs into the firewall. It's not ideal and I'm not sure if you will have much room but I've run 2 runs of 0 gauge through mine and a run of 4 gauge through my girls car this way without drilling the firewall.

On the driver's side of every Mercedes there is a fuse box under the hood. Open that fuse box and there ill be a big piece of foam. Remove the piece of foam and there is a 6 x 6 inch hole in the firewall. Drill your hole in the side of the plastic fuse box and run your wire down through that large hole
