I enjoy reading how much all hate the new versions of vehicles. I currently own both a 2005 Mustang GT Convertible (300 hp) and a 2004 Pontiac GTO (350), if it wasn't for the weight difference they would be on par with each other. MY 05 is an auto and the 04 is a stick. I liked the mustang but an auto is boring, but got to keep the wife happy, so I have the GTO to play with. If you drive one you should be impressed, I was after driving the mustang for most of the year. There is definitely more room in the back of the GTO. And the trunk space is minimal as well because of the gas tank. But to me it is like a wolf in sheeps clothing. Doesn't look mean, but will definitely bite. Very hard to get a car to match the cars of old different times and styles. Ford did well with the mustang, and hope that GM does the same with the Camaro. All we can do is wait and see. But to say it dishonors the history may be a little harsh. What about the "Nova" and the mustangs from the mid to late 70's. It is a rebranding from Australia. You can tell by the gas gauge on the right side of cluster and the volume control on the right side of the radio. But all in all it is still a nice ride.
