2004 ford explorer front speakers

Guys, do any of you know if the whole inside of the front doors have to come off in order to install some aftermarket 5x7/6x8's or can you just pry the grills off????

You cannot pry off the grills. You must remove the entire door panel.

Beat me to it... you could try prying, and the grills may come off, but you'd have to glue/epoxy them back on.

the whole panel, remove the door lock and window button panel first, then the door lock panel, get the clips all over the door and the door panel came off make an up movement.

there you go, take care of the window button panel clips you can break then easy the first time but if you you can glue it (i did it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif).

Would it be just as easy as taking it to an installation shop that will charge me $30.00 to install both front speakers??? I've taken door panels off Chevrolet Blazers before but never Fords??? How much work is it?

really easy just follow the steps i wrote, i remove the panel in my dad's X, and only broke 1 clip (glue it later and everythings is like new)

PD: that was the first panel i remove in my life.
