2003 dodge neon basic radio install

guys I am about to replace my gfs moms radio that died in her 03 neon. i remember looking at it before and it looking easy, but im trying to find a guide thing or something so it doesnt take me an hour to do.

I checked installdr.com and they didnt have the 03 model anyone?

go to walmart and buy the wiring harness and install kit. cheap and easy. if you insist on splicing the wires pm me for a wiring diagram.

It looks like the plastic around the controls would come off.

Shows how to remove the shroud around the radio. Once that's done, it's 4 Phillips screws.

she already has the harness....she alreayd has an aftermarket radio installed, it just died so im replacing it.

sorry, i misread your original posting then.

pull the 4 control knobs off (ac, fan, etc)

remove the top 2 vents. move them down all the way then apply more pressure. they will just snap out.

remove the 2 phillips screws above and behind where the vents were

pull the entire trim panel off, no screws

then it's just the 4 screws that hold the hu in.
