2002 vw wiring help

So i picked up this vr6 wagon recently and am trying to install some aftermarket audio :0) I picked up a metra wiring kit #1784. So the instructions say on cars after 1998 not to connect the blue OR blue/white wires. So the kit comes with the wires but they are loose and not in place on the harness. Anyone familiar with the setup on an 02 vw? I am trying to install an eclipse 5510 double din unit and need to be able to hookup the blue/white wire to have the brake bypass work as well as to run the remote to the amps in the future:naughty:

I am trying to install an eclipse 5510 double din unit and need to be able to hookup the blue/white wire to have the brake bypass work as well as to run the remote to the amps in the future:naughty:

then connect your bypass and remote wire to the remote wire on the eclipse harness and leave the volkswagen one alone. You will most likely throw a check engine light if you connect it to the harness.
