Anyone work on these cars. Does the door panel come off easily? Are there any tips or tricks that I should know of?

How long do you think it would take to do a speaker swap. Nothing fancy, just replacing OEM speakers with some Boston S60 coax?

Should take you 25 mins probably per door. Just pop the trim ring around the door handle off. Then pull the arm rest on the door off and there are 2 screws under that.

It's not hard getting the door panels off. The speakers on the other hand. That's a different story. (also a 02 sentra owner) you need some really shallow speakers for sure. And, if it's just like mine, there is this nasty little hump right in middle of were it goes. Oem speakers are made on this plastic ring that pulls the speaker away from the window gear, and forms to this hump. How to get a after market setup on that, I don't know. I got fed up and kept it stock.

I cut the speaker out of that plastic spacer thingy and mounted the aftermarket one in that.

What size did you use? My illusion 6.5's wouldn't fit.

I have some S60s. they are 1.5" mounting depth. Will that be too deep? Is there room for me yo make some MDF baffles?

1.5 should be fine. Mine were right around 2. When you pull off the oem speaker you'll see what we are talking about. I wanna see how bmx did his. That might be the best option.

I used a boston pro 60. So I guess its a little smaller
