Hey everyone,

A friend of mine has an 02 626 and was wanting to put some component speakers up front. He will likely be running them off of HU power, but I am trying my dammdest to convince him in getiing an amp. He went out and bought a set of Audiobahn 5.25" (aaaargh!), but I'm slowly getting him to see the light.

So my questions are:

1.) Has anyone had experience installing speakers in the front factory speaker locations on this model 626?

He's pretty convinced that only 5.25" will fit in the 5x7/6x8 locations.

2.) Can a 6.5" fit there? If so, what modifications need to be done to ensure a decent fit behind an unmolested door panel?

2 yea 6.5 can fit there, you just need a adaptor bracket/wood ring. Obviously check the mounting depth, so your not in the way of the window track, and the other way, of hitting the door panel
