2002 explorer keys locked inside

Take your titel to the dealership, or at least some proof of ownership with the vin, and they can make you a key. If its a 2002 it shouldnt be too expensive as it probably doesnt have the transponder

After having to to that 5 or 6 times I finally tapped into the door lock switch at the back hatch and ran a water proof momentary switch and hid it under the chassis. It unlocks the doors but dosnt un-arm the alarm.

not sure what you mean by a transponder but they do have a chip in them for the theft system, keys made at the dealership are like 50 bucks because of that chip, it has to be programmed to your specific car or it wont work.

i locked the keys in my work truck and my work didnt have a spare so i called pop a lock and it was $40

Ive done this many times in my truck
take two LARGE flat blade screwdrivers to the top of the door...be careful not to get the weather stripping ....and very slowly work each screwdriver back and forth moveing them deeper into the door jamb as you pry the door jamb back...go very slow...as to not bend the window frame....then get a long coathanger or I sometime unscrew my antenna and use it

I've had to do this to my truck 5 or 6 times if you got any qustions you know the number

Just to unlock the door you only need a regular key not the one with the chip.Some locksmith companies can cut a regular key from the vin number.Might try that.

use the antenna like other dude said, much easier to push the buttons

It also makes it much easier if you sharpen the end of the antenna so it dosnt slide off the button...just another little helpful tip if you plan to lock your keps in your car or had the habit like I did
