had a 2.7. alts gone already.
my gf has an 04 sitting there needing a motor cuz of those junk *** 2.7's. 74k miles on it. she had it before we met and it broke down shortly after we got together. she still has to make payments on it. been sitting for couple years now. she has 3 payments left. dodge wanted over 6k to fix. alot of private shops wont touch the 2.7 cuz its junk. most say to change to 3.5 and thats over 3k total to do that job. look up dodge 2.7 engine on search and read the 400k other people with same problems lol. she is just going to pay it off and sell the car as it is. its not worth throwing 3k+ into it.

run a 3.2 in it. this is one i hauled from someones residence. yea the machine shops wont touch the 2.7s this one lasted 140k. there are some sensors u have to change but a 3.2 will fit in with some work.
X2

bro search around dodgeintrepid.net you can put in a 3.2, find a boneyard one and stick it in, it will run off of the 2.7 ecu, then sell, you will get more money than a non running 2.7. If you have the space, tools, and the know how, you can drop a 3.5 in there and have a good running car for a long time.
