looking for any amp that does 2k rms at 2 or .5 ohms for no more than 325 shipped. if i was 100% sure planet audio are .5 stable id buy one of those.

hmmmm the viper 2500 is 2 ohm stable...can usually find those around your price range

I'm in the same boat, I need the same power/load and have a planet audio 2250, but not about to run it at .5. I've seen people run them at .7, but I'm not going to let the smoke out trying to go lower. If you wanna do the testing its up for sale...haha

I'm finding out its hard to find that load/power for cheap outside of maybe the viper if you can find it. If I don't find a cheap used 20.1, I'm just going to get in on the sundown 1500 sale.

its an intro pkg deal with their 100.4's but they are going to let their dealers put on a sale for the 1500's too.

Oh, and I had an opti2000, strong amp and cheap as a refurb, but hopefully their refurbs have gotten better, I was one of many that had problems.

you never know who's doing the refurbs..... lots of companies don't manufacture the boards in-house, so they outsource the reburbishments as well.......

you'd be better off buying an amp broken, and getting it repaired at a reputable shop
