2000 Mustang firewall

Ok, I am sitting in my garage right now and need to get through the firewall of the car. Anyone know how do do that with a 2000 mustang, do I need to remove the rubber gasget thing of is there some other way?
I run my power wire through the drivers side grommet. You could remove the rubber gasket, but I prefer to keep it in while just pushing the wire around the outside of it. That way it is still sealed up pretty good, and there is plenty of room to fit the wire. I usually use a screw driver to pull the gasket back so I can slide the wire in, then let it go once I get enough of it in to pull it though the other side. Other than removing the gasket that is the only way you are going to do it. There just isn't enough room to fit any decent size wire through the factory grommet at its current size. Hope that helps

thank you very much, now what size wrench will I need to remove the head unit?

Better yet, how the hell do I get it out period. It is an aftermarket headunit above the factory one.

Usually aftermarket HU's come with keys to remove them. What kind of HU is the aftermarket one? It is easy enough to remove the stock HU's with keys you can pick up at autozone for a few bucks. But you can't just take a wrench to a HU to remove it.
