2000-2006 Tahoe owners...

I recently was able to pull an impressive number with an xsite xad2k at .5 ohm (about 2k) stock electrical on 2 evo 15's, managed a 151.8 @ 45 hz. Voltage stays above 13 even at full tilt. I sold the amp though cause i really wanna get these subs movin. With 4k, should I be solid with the stock alt (130 amp), redtop up front, and 2 deka g31s in back? Reason is I dont really wanna get into the alt, and can get the dekas for a good price. By the way, only full tilt would possibly be a couple times a month on the meter. Otherwise, 50% or less with music. Thanks!

better pick up a few more batteries and do big 3

I am gonna do 4k true watts rms and got a 160-170 idle 250 max DC power alt, big 3 in 1/0 2 runs of power and 2 runs of 1/0 ground to the back to 3 batteries one spv70 70AH and two big C&D that are 134AH each so 340AH in total with an alt

hmm ok, could prob pick up 3 dekas so 294 ah with the big 3?

other options are mla and/or more dekas. would like to start with 2 dekas though. btw amp would be autotek 4k

I had 4k in mine.

I have a lightly used EA 300 amp for ya if you want it. I took it out when no system was in. I have Q's now on 2500 watts and its fine on stock. 300 bucks can have you a decent alty! 210 amps at 700 RPM and the paint is ehhh but great shape hardly used ready to bolt on.

no thanks on alt. thats what im sayin i was fine on 2000 stock so just want opinions from tahoe owners if i will be fine with batts and stock alt, cause the stock one seems pretty legit

2k to 4k is a big difference on the electrical what does it drop to now?? with 2k watts

also you could get a MLA but you could also just get another stock alt and do dual alts if you dont want to run a HO alt, and idk why not. Its 200 bucks for a MLA and only another couple hundred for a HO alt, that is a MLA and a highout put all in one basically

No. I'm telling you that amp is gonna pull some amperage. I had the XX Cyclops and the alt with 2 dekas. I was pulling 285 at 1 ohm. Drops well into 10 volts.

I decided to shrink rather than fund that bugger anymore...lol

4k watts on stock electrical is gonna take alot of batteries, why not just get a HO alt and 2 or 3 batteries in the back??

lets see 6 batteries 200 each 1200 dolars, HO alt 500 tops and gives you 700 left, get 3 batteries for 600 and 100 for wire or put it back in yourr pocket and you are set for the future upgrades and no worries

I dont compete other than meetin up with ridnclean and a few others maybe once a month and metering for fun so the full 4k would rarely be drawn, but heres the deal on prices for things I could get:

250 amp mechman = 300

mla = 150

deka g31s = 95 (and local)

c&d 100lber's = 200

would like to stay around 500 tops electrical, still need the amp, just sold my xsite so dont wanna be without bass for months lol

why even mess with the MLA???

batteries and a HO alt will do more and 500 dollars for true 4k watts full tilt at idle and no worries good luck.

electrical is last tihng you want to short on man it runs everything dont have enough and can you say another 600 dollars for an amp

current is stock everything just 1 run of 1/0, had an xsite xad2k at .5 ohm (about 2k) and only was droppin around 13 sometimes high 12 at idle. That was at full tilt on music for metering purposes only. Stayed around 14 on music with gain about 50% but sold the xsite and want an autotek 4k, memphis 4k, basically around 4k now lol
