Why is everybody so infatuated with the size of the woofers magnet. It doesn't play that big of a role in the woofers performance. Everyone I have ever met is always picking a sub by the size of the magnet. My brother bought these Pyramid 12's off some kid, and said they are gonna hit hard look at that magnet. Of course, I busted out the old bazookas, (back in the day), and showed him that the magnet isn't everything people have it cracked up to be. Please do not buy a woofer based on MAGNET size. RESEARCH, before you BUYOriginally posted by Wonderbread nuthin at all wrong with rockford stuff,e specially not the power line...
taht sub ahs a 300 oz. magnet!
its a big facker.. not overly pretty sounding, but hits some kinda hard...
Because they have a smaller magnet than the pyramid, and that used to be my old setup. Don't knock the bazookas, they aren't bad for the price. My brother had his pyramid setup and I had my bazooka setup, I was comparing the magnet sizes, the bazookas sounded much better and louder, yet they have a much smaller magnet compared to the pyramid, thus prooving magnet size is not a big factor in determining a woofers performance.Originally posted by audiolife why we talking about bazookas and size for? lmao//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
