(2) Yellowtops And What Amp Alt For 3000 Watts

I plan on ordering my iraggi this morning and have options of amperage for my alternator, I was just wondering which one I needed to be able to use 2 yellowtops to power a powerbass xa3000d. I think I read the amp pulls under 400 amps. Should I go with the 280, 260, or even 220 just not sure which one. thanks for any help.

the 280. amp can't pull current the alt can't supply.

how can i figure out what amps I have available to give, isn't there a formula to be able to get the amperage and a number on the 2 yellowtops and work some kind of equation to see what I have to give.

yeah there's some formula floating around here to determine current draw. i really need to bookmark it.

Efficiency must be lower than 1 (100%) ...

Maximum continuous current is the fuse rating, unless otherwise stated ...

Voltage is USUALLY 14.4 volts
