I don't recall the exact term, but when 2 subs share the same chamber, it allows for them to be in smaller then rec/req boxes that you would have for each ind one.This confuses me. Why would sharing the same air space as another sub decrease the necessary volume from 4 cuft each to 3? If anything, Id go bigger than the recommended 4 cubes per that RE recommends. I know when I port my xxx 15's, Im expecting to use 8-10 cubes, plus port displacement.
IT's called Group something. Can't recall where i found it. Any1 that know feel free to que in. (i htink it might be used in the port tuning software, 4got the name of that too! lol memory is going.)
It's not exactly 4 to 3, was just an example.
you CAN really do what you want. If you got the space to put one 15 in 8-10cuft, do it. It might be louder then a a 15 in 4cuft with the same power/tunning. But if i had a 15" in 10cuft it would only be because i'd b getting another 15"er, so i'd have the cutout for that already as well.
