2 XXXs?

This confuses me. Why would sharing the same air space as another sub decrease the necessary volume from 4 cuft each to 3? If anything, Id go bigger than the recommended 4 cubes per that RE recommends. I know when I port my xxx 15's, Im expecting to use 8-10 cubes, plus port displacement.
I don't recall the exact term, but when 2 subs share the same chamber, it allows for them to be in smaller then rec/req boxes that you would have for each ind one.

IT's called Group something. Can't recall where i found it. Any1 that know feel free to que in. (i htink it might be used in the port tuning software, 4got the name of that too! lol memory is going.)

It's not exactly 4 to 3, was just an example.

you CAN really do what you want. If you got the space to put one 15 in 8-10cuft, do it. It might be louder then a a 15 in 4cuft with the same power/tunning. But if i had a 15" in 10cuft it would only be because i'd b getting another 15"er, so i'd have the cutout for that already as well.

you could mount both on top, and the port either across the top or side, but on the longest side.
the proposed 36/37" side is where i would put the port, either exiting on the top with the XXXs or sides.

So your port would be like 34.5"-35.5" x X" - whatever will give u 33hz
do this.

it was just to get a quick idea of how ig the box will have to be, and what is wrong with it? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

The only "group" term I know of off hand is "Group Delay"......which is 100% unrelated to what you are talking about. So, I hope that's not it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

No that's not it, i will find it. WiniSID(sp) mentions it i believe. That's why i googled it and read up about it. Will try to see if i can find it.

EDIT: Can't find it there.

Was basically a term that stated having multiple drivers sharing one chamber allows for them to use less space then req for each driver, if they were in their own and seperate chambers.

i know what it would look like just how should i find the deminsions for it
For the port? How'd you figure out the dimensions of the other one?

Use the same calulator.

That box is designed with the same external dimensions as the one u states, 37x19x28.75.

Figure out the cuft, n use WinISD or http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31

However long u want the port to be, 35.5 being the max (with 37 your external length) is best, however tall u want, plug that in and bam!

Would have thought u KNEW how to get the length, how'd u get it the other times?
