2 x Bxi-2608D Strapped

hey im getting 2 Hifonics BXi-2608D amps to power 2 x Fi 15" BTLs. Is this amp strappable? If so, how many ohms must i run the amps at in order to acheive 5200rms. 1 or 2 Ohms? Should I strap the amps or should i run each amp individually to each each sub?

what voicecoil imp do you have?

I believe their strappable without any special link needed

They can play down to .5.....i wouldnt go any lower

for the price ur gonna pay for 2 of those brutus amps, id just get a XXV goliath thats gonna throw a lil more the 5200wrms.

my thor puts out 3472wrms with the amps, volts test at 13.3v having voltage issuses i think

i can get BOTH of the BXi-2608D amps for only $650. I was seriously considering on getting the XXV Golaith BUT it cost about 850-1200. I dont have that much money right now. i will be getting 2 15" Dual 2 ohm Fi BTLs. so i can either

1.run 1amp to 1 sub=1 ohm

2.run both amps to both subs(strapped)=.5 or 2 ohms(i would do .5) if it is stable

sad thing is the brutus amps cant be strapped with one another but, it might with a maxxlink not sure how they work really.

depending on your ohm load you can do .25 and 1 ohm or .5 and 2 ohms that each amp will see. for daily i would not run .5 but for comps its fine. and of course you can also hifonics up and ask for mike steirs and he will answer all your questions.

The BXi2608D amps are strappable.

They have "master/slave" built in.

I wouldn't run them under 2 ohm(each amp seeing 1 ohm) if strapped.
