2 x 12 or 1 x 15

Hey all,

I'm torn between getting 2 12" XXX's and putting them in 1 ft^3 sealed boxes with 2400 watts rms or 1 15" XXX and putting it in 3 ft^3 ported @ 33hz with 1200 watts rms.

What do you think would sound better? Which would be louder? Which would you go with?

What about if it was 12" or 15" brahmas? Same answer?

are you looking for a bit more spl, or sq?

I, personaly would go with 2 12" 's The 15" will hit lower, but I like the little bit of tighter bass that the 12"s give

Brahmas will give you a little bit more sq over the xxx, and the xxx will give u a lil more spl than the brahma

going by power and cone area the 2 12"s would 1 be cleaner being in sealed and 2 hit harder b/c they have double the power. now why not get the 2 12"s build them a sealed box then build like a 4cuft ported box and run that for a comp or burp or somethin?? i myself was thinking of running like 4 xs-50's to a single XXX 15" i dunno if that will blow it or not.

I say the 2 12's more subs are fun, plus probably equal SQ but better SPL
