2 X 10"s with no box... What now?!?!?!

I was just given 2 X 10 inch MTX Blue Thunders... It doesn't say what kind they are, but they are both just solid blue in color (if that helps). I was also given an old Jensen 250Watt amp to power them... I need to make a box now... What size should it be.. I'm driving a Volvo 850 with a lot of trunk space. Does plexiglass make a diff?

If your are making a sealed box you should go with a box 1-1.5 cu ft. A larger box will give you more db's if thats what you want.Go with a ported box for maximum db's.I recomened using ping fiberglass insulation in your box for deaper bass,you can use alot if you want just make sure you keep it off your sub.

Dont bother porting the box if you're using a jensen 250 w amp... fiberglass is too expensive to be wasted and too hard to add to the box... those speakers will sound good in a sealed box... if you want deeper bass just add polyfil (pillow stuffing) to the box... or if you want a little deeper, make a basic ported box (no fiberglass) and put polyfil in it with some chicken wire covering the port so the polyfil doesnt shoot out
