is it ok to replace my front speakers and leave my back ones stock? and what speakers would be good to do this in a ford fusion with out using a amp thank you the speaker size is 5x7

Thats fine... If you aren't going to amp the fronts I suggest just going with coax though. Maybe something like the Pioneer REV's. You can do 5.25, 6.5's with a MDF baffle if there is enough clearance. Then just move them to the back (if they are the same size) when you get an amp and get seperates.

Yes, I would get an amp before spending extra money on component speakers. Even an amp on coaxes would probably be a better value than component speakers alone.

Some good Coaxes off the top of my head... PPI, Crystal with the kevlar cones, and Pioneer Rev.
