2 SX 15's Vs 1 XXX 15

right now i have 2 d4 sx 15's being powered by a orion 2500d (@ 1 ohm) in a 7 cube box tuned to 32Hz.......i like em but i think i might wanna get some more SQ.......so i was thinking bout trading those for a XXX 15.......i got about 8 cubes max to work with so i figure thats enuff to get the XXX in a nice box.....do u think the -+single XXX would lack alot in SPL compared to my 2 SX's?......i wanna get more SQ but at the same time i dont really wanna sacrifice SPL too much......i was thinkin about maybe even tryna get my hands on an 18 XXX but im not positive i have the room for it.......any feedback would be much appreciated

why would you even compare 2 15's to 1 15? of course your going to lose a lot of spl. might as well just find 2 xxx 15's.

i'm comparing them because they're two different subs and depending on my ability to build the proper enclosure based the amount of room i have available it might be worth it to downgrade to 1 15 of a higher quality......if i put two 15" Dual subs from Kragen i doubt its gonna be louder than one 15" sx......jus cuz theyre two 15's vs one doesnt necissarily mean it'll be louder.......and i thoguth general discussion included general stuff.......i dont have the money nor the space for 2 xxx 15's or else i probably would get 2 of em.....please only intelligent responses from now on

the xxx will most certainly not blow with the orion2500d. i had 2200 watts on my 15 daily and it loved it. and the sx and xxx are different subs, most likely the box for the sx will not suit the xxx very good, but who knows. spl wise, they are about the same, ive heard the sx potentially can get a little louder. buy 1 xxx15, buy a snail shell from http://www.nolteaudio.com, you will be more than satisfied with both sq and spl

No the XXX can get louder with more power. But comparing 2 15" SX's to a single 15" XXX is retarded.

part of the reason i was askin is because most people have said the SX's need more room than the 3.5 cubes per sub i am able to offer them.......so i figured if i could put the single 15 XXX in a box more appropriate for it it might outperform the dual 15 SX's in the tight space.........

guess not tho....i'll look into some other options....thanx for the advice
