2 subs in a box sharing space or divided?

Im gonna run a set of probably 2 L5 12 kickers and with a 1200 watt amp ...

would it sound better if i let them both share all the space of the box or if i just divide them were they get their own space (1.33) for each or (2.66) for both??

if your talking sealed i would do 2 chambers. if its shared and you blow 1 sub you probably will blow the other one. as far as sound i dont think it will make a difference.

No audible difference but northjmp is right, if you lose one good chances are you'll lose the other simultaneously.

shared space is the way to go... sealed or ported...

and there can be an audible difference......... talk to an SQ purist and they will recommend using one sub only...........
