2 shiva's 4 shiva's or 1 Brahma?

it depends on the power you are giving it....if you are fully powering each of the 4 subs then yes i would say it would probably be louder then a single brahma. But say if your sendin 1000 to a brahma and 1000 split beetween 4 subs (250 each)....then i would say go with the brahma. I had 2 kenwood tornado subs and i was thinking of upgrading to 4...but then id have to buy another amp....and then it would kill my electrical system so i just decided to sell my whole system and buy a nicer one.

Thats exactly what I want to do...I have to tornados and I'm tired of em. I want to upgrade em but I want the rest of my car to be ready for the new subs. I still need a HU and mids, I'll get a JBL 1200.1 but after I buy all that I won't have much money left and I want a good crossover sub..so I was thinking mostly of 2 Shiva's or 1 Brahma...So two shivas' splitting the power or 1 Brahma with all the power of the JBL 1200? Which would be louder?

yeah i wasnt satisfied with my tornados either...not bad for the $70 i paid for them brand new. I am going to be running a JBL 1200.1 on my Brahma 15 too. My amp is in but my brahma wont be here until next week. Im not exactly sure which would be louder....im thinking the brahma...but not positive. i would pick the brahma if i were u....because a couple of people have told me that 600 watts to a brahma would be plenty loud for everday driving. so if you ever felt like adding more...you could just throw another brahma in there without buying another amp. Whereas adding 2 more shivas would make it a tight trunk and adding another amp. Ask jlaine....he sells the adire products and could probably tell you which would be louder...but in my opinion the brahma is the way to go because of the upgrade factor.

I would go with one Brahma. It may or may not be louder, but you'll save on space and might get a little better sound out of it. At a later date it would be easier to add Brahma's then Shiva's because of their small box requirements. Shiva's take large boxes, 1.8 cu.ft. and above. Not sure what you can "get away with," but that's what they recommend.

Brahma has no chance against 4 shivas... It could hang with two, but it will be easily overtaken by 4x the cone area, and about equal power...

Originally posted by adamawayfrommpa Jlaine, when you say that the 4 shiva's would win do you mean if the power is split between 1 JBL1200.1 or did you mean when they all had their full 600rms?

Adam Chandler
Give one brahma 1200 watts, give 4 shivas 1200 watts between them (300 each)...

The brahma doesn't stand a chance...
