2 separate 10" boxes, or one dual 10" sub box?

I'd be using one amp for the 2 subs.

the way i was thinking of was putting themon the left and rigth sides of my trunk, allowing for more room. then theyd be facing each other though. does that not matter as well?

Your first question (One box or two), doesn't make a difference really... The only time it matters is when you have 2 subs that have a common chamber and one sub blows. This makes the other sub end up in twice as big of a box, say bye bye to that one too after long...

For your second one. Cancellation is the devil. If you face your two subs at each other from opposite sides of the trunk, you're asking for the worst cancellation EVER!
