Amp I will be using is a Powerbass 2 channel ASA 400.2 rated at 400 watts rms/800 peak when bridged at 4 ohm. That being said, would I be better off getting 2 4 ohm Rockford Fosgate Stage 2 P2D48 8" subwoofers rated at 200/400 each, or 1 10" Rockford Fosgate Stage 3 P3D210 2 ohm subwoofer rated at 400/800?

The price for the 2 8s would be around $140, and around $110 for the 10", both from ebay. What would be the better choice? The wattage for each comes out to the same, and both would be going into a ported box. I'm looking for the best sound quality with decent SPL for this setup, while taking up the least space in my trunk. Will be going into a 03 Acura CL. Also, will the Powerbass Amp be sufficient for either setup?

Im not sure if you have a best buy around you, you should be able to go and check them out. I really dont think Rockford is the best choice for SQ, they are known for their power.
