So I just picked up a new saz1200d and a pair of sd8s from ssastore on their black Friday sale for my new car, 2014 focus st, and now I'm considering ordering a third and running 3 @.66 ohms so about 400 watts a piece. I'm going to run them at .25 cubes sealed each. What do you guys think? Get the 3rd?

i'd get the third... it all depends on what your going for though, I just came off a single 12 hdc4 to two 8's, AB XD 8's and the 8's are beautiful, clean, yet hit the lows... tuned to 32.... but it is definitely not a 12 !!! lol but these XD's are louder than my sa8v1's so you will probably want the 3rd....

Well three d4s in parallel is .66 so I figured around 1500 out of the amp possible and knowing sundown's 8's, I've played alot with the e8v1s and v2s, I assumed that the sds were rated very conservative and could probably handle 500 or so as long as I was easy on the gains and didn't push them too hard. I could potentially do 4 of them and run them in parallel for a true .5ohm load. I'm not sure if I'm ready to upgrade my electrical too much yet. I plan on big 3 and maybe new battery before install, my car does come with a 150 amp alternator.
