2 or 3 SA8s?

Well currently I have a single 12" IA flatlyne in a 2.25 cu 32hz ported box powered by an Alpine m1000. I'm thinking I want something a little louder, and have wanted to try out some SA8's. I'm undecided whether I want 2 or 3 though. Either 2 or 3 they would be powered off the of the Alpine amp, if I do 3 I would probably sell the Alpine and get a 1500-200watt amp. I'm thinking 34hz .75cu for each sub ported box. I'm indecisive on this because I'm not sure just getting 2 would be worth it, it could be more of a side grade than an upgrade if anything. But with 3 I might not get the desired output because of lack of power. Thanks guys

1500 to a pair will be pretty loud. i say get a pair of audiopipe 1500s (150 shipped on ebay) and get four sa 8s and then you will be loud

Not sure I have the space for 4 of them, I was considering it though, would deff need a HO alt, batteries, more wire ect ect, the idea intrigues me though. As far as 600-700 watts with a pair I would be giving em 500-600 per and for 3 I would be giving them 300-400 per.

You have plenty of space, you could put them in .5 each and be ok, esp with that much power. you also dont need a H/O alt, just grab a couple bigger batteries. My buddy has four on an AQ2200 at .5ohm and it does pretty good.

3k watts without a new alternator? I feel like my alt can barely keep up with my amp right now, I would consider doing it with 2000 watts maybe 2500 with a 170amp DC power alt. I think 4 is just too much out of my price range though. I do like the idea of 3 though and maybe that 2200 amp you mentioned if its decent. always upgradable to 4.

I wouldn't go any bigger than .6 each for daily anyway. I run mine in .5 each and they love it.

You can totally run 2500 on stock alt and an extra batt. I do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif 100A alt and 110Ah worth of batts running a DD M3 @ .5 daily and my voltage never gets below 13.4ish.

Btw- I'll trade you a pair of SA8's for that Flatlyne.

80A stocker and an extra batt in the back with a decent batt underhood should be good.

They're used, but in fantastic shape. They've only seen 5-600w each their whole life.
