2 ohms: 1000 watts x 1 chan.= 500 watts to two subs?

Not bad. Only other question I have is are you sure your electrical can take that? Pretty beefy amp. I drive a '99 Monte Carlo with the Big 3 and a 4 gauge amp kit and I don't think I'd attempt to run that amp without another battery at least.... Although at a 2 ohm load it should run pretty efficiently.

 
thank you everybody for your help!... and i have 2 pretty big batteries and a line driver so im pretty sure it can handle it just fine, also 4 gauge kit...

how do all of you ground your amps? with a fresh bolt to the chassis with paint removed? or simply a strong stock bolt?

im not sure if ive upgraded my alternator... that is part of the big 3 correct? i have a 2010 camaro ss so im thinking it should handle it just fine
