2 L7 15's vs. 1 RE MT 18"

its a current hog if your running all 3.5k. If you back the gain off a bit it isn't that bad.

I ran mine w/ the gain set to about 1100 @ 2 on a -3db tone in my girls car.. all stock electrical(no big 3) w/ 1 run of 4 guage and the voltage only dropped to 14.1v at the amp.

why would i go through all the hassle of selling it and buying a new amp if i could just turn down the gains....? and i believe theyll have to be wired to 1 ohm.
if you haven't picked up the subs yet i would get dual 2's so you can wire the amp at 2 ohms... it'll be more efficient at 2 and you don't need the increased output that you would get from wiring at 1 ohm anyway. If anything i'd wire it at 4 before 1.

im trading for the subs so i dont get much say unfortunatly..idk if theyre dual 2 or dual 4 tho. if u go to the WTT section its on the second page. he has pics but i cant understand kicker stuff

awesome..well then i plan on selling this amp and getting an Earthquake PH5000D. honestly its still one of my favorite amps out of any ive used. despite its problems...

dude you got people saying 1000w is too much, and to send them something like 800-900w instead......WTF? do you even know what your talking about?

you can send a speaker a SHIT TON MORE power than its RMS. you can put a 1500w amp on that 1000w rated speaker and it wont do shit. you will be lucky to get above 1000 actual watts to that thing with impedance rise. if you only knew how much your subs were actually seeing...

No. 1000 watts MAX for RMS to each L7. Anything more and you will have to worry about being easy on it. Id actually reccomend 750-900 watts RMS Each. (like get a 1500.1 or a 1800.1 would be best) because if you sit over 1000 watts to each woofer your gonna have to worry about playin too loud or if your hurting them. But with 750-900 each, you can wang-out with confidence. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Also... 1500 - 2000 watts on each? Thats far too much! thats 150% - 2x of the RMS...where are you getting these numbers from?
"A single l7 will take 2200 watts"

Psh. this guy is crazy.
nonsense i had mine on a mm3000.1 at .5 ohms and also on a xx colossus at 2 ohms. the autotek was a little bit louder.

i forgot before i sold my amp to put 2kw on one of the l7s, i know it can handle it.

haha...this has turned into a nice battle. anyways with the earthquake ill have 3000rms at 2 ohm so ill just keep goin till it distorts
