2 jl audio 12w6v2 with alpine mrp-m1000

i would look into a hifonics amp or something along those line. THey give out almost rated power and are on the cheaper side too
Actually, if he goes with the Hifonics Brutus line, he really should consider going the next model up. Since the OP needs 1,200 watts RMS @ 1 ohm then get a 1608 or 1610 just to ensure that he gets those 1,200 watts RMS;)

Wow, it feels weird that I made a positive post about the Hifonics BXi line and didn't bash them:confused:

have you tried to run 1 sub to see how it might sound?

or have you ever tried reverse phase?

are your subs in there own camber?

how much space is your box?

when i had first bought my 12w6v2 it came in jl's premade sealed box which i hated, i didnt understand why that sub seemed not to sound right for me.

i went to a 1.25 camber & that made a difference.

i'm working on a 1.65 camber now, not sure if i'm going sealed or ported.

when i talk to jl they told me that sub can be put into a larger box, which it will go deeper & have better sound/louder.

so what i'm saying is, your box is just as important as is how much power your feeding each sub

even of he getts that amp he wont be runing a 1ohm load with those subs,

if he gets the jl 1000/1, each sub will have there own input, that amp will make a huge difference they will be getting 500watts each, those subs max is 600,1000/1 has that slash EQ which is really nice feature for d class amp
