2 jl 12w7s or 2 sundown sa 12's

I have a trade offer to give up my sundown x 12 for either 2 jl 12w7s or 2 sa 12s...which would you guys run off a soundqubed 1200.1 amp? The jls don't come with a box. The sa 12s come in a sealed enclosure...which pair could I sell for the most and quickest if I ended up not liking either? Thanks guys any opinions are welcome.

This should not be a question. Just make sure the W7s are in good shape.

i would get the jl w7 subs. check the condition of the subs though...on this site the sa 12's would probably sell faster as this forum is all about the non mainstream brands like sundown

I know the 12w7s are worth more but man people on CL and locally don't like paying that much for expensive quality subwoofers it seems like.

I doubt you will want to sell them. Once you go W7 most don't go back.

Would 2 be ok running off of 550 watts each? Or am I missing ALOT giving them that kind of power..

They are single 3ohm so wire to 1.5. Yes they will be fine. Those subs do very well on low power.

Lol relax dude. But turns out one has a tear on the cone. He says in the "upper cone not the lower" main part I guess. Said he can't find a replacement for it...still a deal worth while?

yup

w7 is a great sub despite it's speny cost I would do it but look'em over really good. torn surround = no prob, torn spider = little prob
