i have the oppurtunity to get these brand new and warrantied for $420 for both of them. Is it worth the step up from my 3 10W3V2s? When i think about it, i could probably sell my 3 10s for ~400 in the box, but i will have to step up the amp for the 2 w6s.. what's your guys' experience with these, how will they compare to my current set up?

and for the amp, i was thinking of the ed nine.1 for 600 watts each sub? any other suggestions? i'd rather stay a little cheaper than that.

and the enclosure, i will either go sealed or ported tuned to 27 Hz, what do you guys think?

They are Great subs, I wish I had never sold mine. I was giving them around 600-700 a piece in a seal box single chamber at 3.0 and they rocked. Sounded sooo good. Got loud got low and you can really FEEL them well. I could feel the bass with both of them alot more than I can with my sx 15 in a 4.0 tuned to 35 with 1k to it. And that is a great price. You shouldnt even think twice about getting them.

I never tried them in a ported I love the sound they did in sealed. And like I said I was pushing around 600-700 to each one. I had 2 kicker zr240s on them. But I would just look into picking up a good mono 1500 or so.

I have a pair of 12W3V2 on a sealed box but I'm thinking on upgrading to a pair of 12W6V2 off an MTX 1501D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

am i the only one that actually put some real power to a 10w3....and played 13-19hz test tones and it sounded flawless...wtf....personally i would stay with the 3 10w3v2's ..but to really hear them shine u cant go by the rms...i did that and it distorted on me.i was underpowering them...i put 600watts to them and boy oh boy what a difference.....i had them in a ported box tuned at 29hz...and the sound was pretty good i must say.........all i'm saying is try the 3 10w3v2's ported and tune it low and see what happends...just put 500 or 600watts to them and then let me know if u still want to upgrade to a 12w6v2.

i was able to hit 142db's with 2 tens on the tl mic 2years ago...if that helps any

Well I want to do 3 10w6v2's this summer. What king of box sizes am I looking at? For people who design these things? I'm probably going to be sticking with my KX1200.1. But if I need somethin' that will push out at 2 ohms I was looking into a MTX 1501d which I believe pushed out 1500 at 2ohms, or most likely the Orion 2500D would be perfect. I want it to be sealed...and or ported for the extra punch that they will throw in. Any help will be appreciated. From all those who designs boxes.
