Nothing new here just another newbie trying to figure out the amplifier situation after reading all the how tos.
From what I understand what I am looking for is a 4 channel amp where the two channels could be bridged for the subwoofers in the rear. The speakers I would like to power are as follows:
- HAT Clarus C51-2 components - 150 watts at 4 ohms
- Two JL 10w1 subwoofers with a final impedance of 4 ohms - I guess these need 300 watts each
The Rockford Fosgate Power T800-4AD seemed like a pretty good candidate but it falls too short when it comes to the JL requirements. The LRx line from Audison looks very promising but seems like an expensive option. Im sort of lost here
Having a single amp sounds like a neat idea, it would take up less space, less wiring, and keep the weight down which would be awesome. What would be the drawbacks in comparison to having 2 separate amplifiers?
If you guys have any recommendations it would be great to hear them.
