2 fuses or 1?

I just ran my first 0 gauge wire install, but I am running it to a distribution block that has 2 4gauge outs that will be ran to my Orion 2500d, do I have to run two separate 150amp fuses on them two power wires since I have already ran the 300amps at the battery, and the distribution block will have two 150amp fuses as well? Thank you, also what is the best way to ground the dual 4s? Will it be alright without a ground block if I run to separate grounds?

yes, when you reduce wire size you need another set of fuses.
fuses perform two functions:

1. short circuit protection

2. over-current protection

sometimes the over-current protection can be the fuses at the amp.
So overall 5 fuses in the wire, and the amp has no external fuses so I dont even know how many it has.

where do you get 5 from? one 300A at the battery. then you reduce to two 150A fuses in the distribution block, each protecting a 4 awg wire. from there, no more fuses are needed.
total of 3.
That's where I was gettin confused. I wasn't sure if the two after the split was the block or after the block.
