2 focal 27 A sub driven by Alpine pdx 1.1000 to much??

i have a question.

i wanted to use the alpine pdx 1.1000 amp to drive 2-focal 27A sub wire in paralell (2ohms)

amp spec: 1000 RMS AT 2-4 OHM @ 14.4v

SUB SPEC: 250 RMS SINGLE VOICE COIL

am i safe if the gain is tune down ??

Agreed with mike...1000rms is a bit much...400rms should be the max you send to them, and thats if you know what your doing. Keep in mind the manufacturer has those ratings for a reason.
