I am looking for advice/opinions on a box volume compromise for both music and SPL. I have a changeable aero port idea. I need suggestions on port diameter for both the music and SPL version. I've built lots of boxes with good results just always slot and square port. To be clear I will have one box. When I get to the show SPL port will go in. When I leave I will switch to the music port.

Vehicle : 84 Chevy Citation

Location in the vehicle: B pillar backm

Space available (Length x Width x Height): 60x36x16+ (hatchback)

Subwoofer make and model: Eclipse Ti Pro

Subwoofer Size: 15

Number of Subwoofers: 2

Type of Port (Kerfed, Slot, Aero, etc.): Changeable aero

Tuning Freq (Hz): music 34, spl 46 ?

Qts: .15

Fs: 27

Vas: 2.0

Xmax: 89mm peak to peak

RMS: 3000

My pros will never be sold! You can buy one of my kids instead-I'm afraid they'll break my system getting in and out of the car! And don't worry they are just as loud as the subs.

IIRC TC-3000 which was pretty much the same animal was recommended for rather small ported box (3.5 cube or so) and they definitely like low tuning to play flat. 3.5 should be OK, use loads of port area and tune according to vehicle peak for your burp port.

They only take 1- 1.5 cu sealed. So says my spec sheet directly from Fujitsu. Which is tiny for a sub like this. The sheet tells me the ported box design for the regular Ti but says "not intended for ported enclosure" about the pro. I got this technical info from a guy I knew that worked for Fujitsu years ago. I got it for my 9152's and never really paid attention to the other info on it. Lao also told me that Eclipse rated these subs per voice coil. At least the 9152 and 8815ti.

I know people that have viewed this have opinions-share them please. I know how to calculate enclosures I would like thoughts from people with experience. Thank you.

I was wondering if you could help me figure out what all my specs are for my 2 4 ohm dvc eclipse aluminum subs, like model number, cant believe they can handle 1500 watts! im not sure the year but they look brand new and i know they arent titaniums because of the color

i think theyre the sw6210 model, sry to thread jack..... but if my opinion matters at all i like eclipse in an unported box, thats tight dimensions, they were designed for those needs, hence why they have hype on being so crisp and clean sounding, awesome in a 40 year old solid steel dynamatted car haha
