2- e8's or 1- RE SE 10?

I just bought a pair of e8's, but I also recently acquired an RE SE 10 in a trade so now I am trying to decide between the two. Looking for SQL and have 1k watts going into a trunk.

Well, I mean I have it available. It'll be in a 2 ohm load so probably more like 800 (which I know is still too much). Speaking of which... can't I just turn the gains down? Or does it not work that way? I do have a smaller sub amp I can use.

Funny you should mention that because I just got my 3rd one in the mail today. So technically it's (3) e8's. And there is no way I can hold off my build until I find a 4th.

Yep, single 4's. If I go with the e8' it'll have to be a 1.33 load which would be like 1200w... unless there's a way to do series-parallel?

nope 1.33 it is. Thermally they can handle it. I would go small on the box and not a ton of port area.

Nice. Appreciate the advice. When you say port area, do you mean the tune or to keep the port as small as I can for the recommended tune? i.e.- tuned to 35hz but staying with a 3" instead of a 4"? Or tuning higher?

I'd say 1.2 cubes, no more than 1.5, with a single 4".
