Okay i was wondering what ur guys oppions would be. right now i have 2 diamond cm312.2s in a ported box and i am getting a nine.1 amp. should i keep these subs or sell the subs and box and get 2 kicker 12" L5's. right now the sq on the diamonds isnt very good. but its alright would the kickers be louder and have better sq thanxs alot.

You may want to look into the install for those diamonds because they generally have pretty decent SQ. I would say stick with your current system unless you are that dissatisfied with the sq.

you need to feed them CM3s 500w each, with them little DA amps your using now you might be underpowering them also

whats the box specs?

I own several diamond subs, inc CM3s and they sound pretty dam good to me,they are not SPL monsters though but get pretty dam loud

hmm.......then maybe i can save my self some money then right now there only getting 420 watts a piece and thats pretty loud. but im selling my diamond amps and buying a nine.1. so i thought if i did that i should sell my cm3's and get solo barics and the box i really dont know about. its a ported box with 1.5 total cubic feet for each chamber. i dont know what hrtz that would be tuned to or not.

your just off on your combination, nothing wrong with the subs my single 12 slammed like a mutha and was very tight for a ported box

could be a poorly matched enclosure - recheck CM3 specs for enclosures and compare what you have or I can Email them to you I got them from Coop over at Diamond

also with the nine.1 i heard its underated and is actaully about 1400 watts and so my cm3 will be gettin 700 watts a peice. wont that blow the cones or anything. also ihave never really heard a sub with sound quallity. i just dont want it to hit late or anything like my cm3's do at lower levels. is this becase of the amp or what. i might just get my nine.1 and see and if i like it ill keep my cm3's and if i dont ill sell them and get kickers.

i was lookin on kicker.com for there manual of the l5 and for a ported box its suppose to have 6.5 cubic feet from what i gather. that would be one huge f'ing box. thats alot bigger than my trunk and i would need a box that would carry 2 l5 12's so thats like 13 cubic feet. so i looked for a ported box on ebay and there is one for 2 l5 but its only 1.85 cubic feet for each chamber. would that be good enough.

just be carefull on the gains and you should be OK,700w is a bit much for a CM3

Kicker wants a 13cf box, they have lost thier minds.....

Besides Diamond is a better product in every way shape and form

Is a nine.1 really worth the hassle if you're gonna keep the subs?? It only does 900 at 2 ohms. If ya get rid of your amps soon, I'll sell ya some BNIB diamond D5 600.2 amps for less than a nine.1 cost //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Also like e1 else, I would not switch to kickers if you're looking to improve your sq.

also i can run my 2 diamonds one the nine.1 amp to make it 1 ohm. and that is 1200 watts but its underrated from what i have heard so its about 1400. so that is 700.2. that is more than the diamond d5 amp. and also the nine.1 is mono and the 600.2 isnt. and i would like a mono amp.
