my amp is 200x2 at 4 ohms and my sub box only has 1 terminal. is it possible to wire both chanels into the terminal, or can this hurt anything? my subs are 250 rms each, and if i bridge my amp, its 800x1, so i dont want to do that. but would there be a way to run both chanels into the terminal without hurting anything, and getting the 400 watts?

You shouldn't harm your speakers if u adjust the amp properly. You shouldn't ever adjust your amp due to the amount of watts that u are putting out, you should adjust your amp untill u begin to hear distortion then u should turn your amp down just a bit. Just because the amp says that it puts out 800w rms doesn't mean that you can only put out 800w that's why they make gain controls.

Yep just turn the gains all the way down then turn up the volume to the highest level you would ever listen to your system at. Then turn up the gains until you can hear distortion, at that point turn the gains back just a touch and youll be set.

If you feel that by doing this the subs are still getting a little too much power just turn the gains down a little more until your comfortable.
