RCA come in various packages.

2 ch

4 ch

6 ch etc..

I will be running two amps. A smaller 4 channel and a mono amp for the subs.

I have many questions.

What RCA's do you guys use or recommend?

Type? Brand?

Specific things to look for in a good quality RCA?

Believe all the hype?

Do you run 3 sets of 2 channel runs?

or in my preposed install, do you prefer to just run a 6 channel single run set?

Should I just run the front and rear sets only and then jump over from the 4 ch amp to the mono amp? By doing this will I lose the subwoofer control from the head unit?

I do have 2 sets of older Rockford Fosgate RCA from like 10+ years ago that still look good. I did a continuity test and they were good. Did a resistance test and it came out to less than 1 ohm each time for all the sets. Are these still good? I know technology has advanced quite a bit since then with all the time correction and such but $100+ for a set of Monster 6 channel rca's seems a bit much. That's what the local Ultimate guy was trying to sell me.

I did try to run the old RF rca's to my 4 channel from the new Alpine 9886 but I was having a problem with the RCA connectors being too big/bulky to fit nicely within the rear of the head unit. The old RF rca's had the right angle connectors built in. I guess I will need to update these with a new set with just the standard straight connectors.

Are there any that have significantly slimmer connectors of good quality that you guys could recommend?

Thanks!

it doesnt matter if they are 4ch or 2ch or 6ch really. i run stinger 6ch in one car and three 2ch monster in my other. the 6ch are just more convenient because they label each channel F, R, S.

Looks like the biggest issue I am running into is the size of the actual RCA connectors.

Space is very limited behind the head unit so I am looking for a good quality set of RCA's with smaller than normal connectors.

Any suggestions.

i just did an install (still am really) and used a 4ch for the active comps and a 2ch for the subs. it is really just a matter of what you like more so long as all are decent quality.

I run the Knu Karma wires. I've used them in 4 different builds, and other than ripping a barrell connector off of one of the channels (my own stupidity), I've not had any problems with them.
