2 cerwin vega 124s vs one adire tempest? help me decide

Initially for my system I was just going to put 2 cerwin vega 124s and power them with 1200 watt amp, but I been looking at adire audio and resonant enginnering.... anyway I was wandering what you guys think of me getting one tempest opposed to 2 cerwin vega 124s........ would the one 15 sound better? also im not exactly sure the rms on the tempest can someone give me that also.

for 300 dollars I can get a maelstrom 18" from adire...... but that thing in a single ported box and boom! somebody read these specs about the 18" and tell me what this means "Pmax 550W per voice coil; 1000W total to" is 550 the rms? if so what would be the best amp for the 18" maelstrom?

I'd def get the 15 tempest...even over the 18 maelstrom.

I'm not positive but genearlly in a ported enclosure 550 would be a good RMS for the coils together. A bit more sealed.
