So im pretty decided on im going to run 2 hdc315s but now im in search of an amp would an aq2200d put up enough to power both subs

you need more power ill say use the aq3000 or aq3500 or the sub need aleast 1500-2000 rms apiece or more to get them moving.

they will do fine off a 2200 as RMS is 1k each. They will get louder off a 3500 or 2 2200's in the right enclosure. If you have the room do 9cubes net if using a single 2200 for power...

Need at least 3k. Ive got a 20.1 powering my 10's and they dont move unless i drop it to .25 ohm.

Yea but to get what you want out of them you need 3k. Idc if hes got experience or not, ive been tinkering with my 10's for nearly 6 months now and have come to the conclusion that you need more power.

I'm actually running an AQ3500 on each sub now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif But I've run a single sub on 400watts and it hit pretty well. Copper coil is pretty efficient and will do good off 1k of power, just that they'll get louder with more power.

If you have room I'd do a larger enclosure for more efficiency. 9cubes net if running a single 2200. Will you get the most out of them, probably not, but you can always step up the power if you feels it's not enough...

Not to thread jack or anything but how do you like those 3500ds. Im stuck between one of those or two 2200d's.
