2 amps on 4 subs?

right now im running 4 15" dvc 2 ohm subs wired to 1 ohm on a planet audio tt2250d monoblock, i was wondering if i should get the same amp and be running the subs off of 2? is it safe? will i overpower my subs or anything like that? and if i do get it how would i wire the 2 amps to 4 subs?
