hi guys,

i was thinking can i hook up 2 alts with different outputs ?

one is a 200amp the other is a 100amp alt.

how would i wire these up ? if i can do it.

see this is what i was thinking , getting 2 audio batteries put them in the back. running the 200amp for them and using my 100amp for the truck.

what do you guys think.

thanks.

Yeah you can run them together no prob...

One way would be to isolate the 200 amp to your audio stuff and leave the stock alt and stock electrical alone this would allow you to run the audio batts dead and then start your vehicle and drive off. You also help eliminate noise from your cars electrical (although most comes from the alt)...Just an idea that how I run all my setups this is a really good idea on vehicles that have alot of eletronics like bmw's, mercedes, etc.

However for the simple setup depending on the exact aly you just wire the suckers together

I would run isolated ...if you are still planning the same setup since you are eleminating the yellowtop under the hood you might think of adding another batt to the back . If I remember correctly the bk1800 is does like 108 amps of current draw at full tilt you are gonna be running 2 of them so just your sub amps are gonna be maxing the alt out (only under heavy load) so its a good idea to have as much batt as possible.
