go wit the L7s sealed. u are not obviously lookin for spl by goin sealed. do a single 12 ported. or even 10s.

L7 15" in a ported enclosure. kicker also has recommendations on how to build an spl enclosure. im sure alpine does as well

my personal experience: the type r's weren't as loud and didn't sound as good.

My personal experience w/ one car, one amp, one box for each setup.

Type R's sounded a lot louder to my ears, but it didn't cause much vibration in my car (besides my trunk) This was in a 3 cu foot total enclosure tuned to 37hz (i think)

The kicker l7 15...this thing shook EVERYTHING!!! My sunroof was popping open, i also had it in a 4.5 cu foot enclosure tuned to 38hz. That setup got loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif
