2 9a34 vs 1 9a31????

just as the title says, wandering if i should do a pair of 9a34s in the back with one underhood or try to squeeze a 9a31. The 34s fit MUCH better where they need to go. Also odyssey vs deka? for audio batteries?

The 9a34s are 5ah more than the 9a31 not very noticable ...id go with whatever fits best for you ..me personally i like to run the bigger ones...but i like all east penn batts ..deka duracell super start ..etc...id go to sams and get the duracell agm they are the same as deka but alot cheaper..g34s are 130 bucks

one question i have, im just trying to help with dimming, not play with the car off etc, does the AH matter much to me? will a single good group 34 have as much effect on this issue as a single 31?

Yea ah is huge....no the single 34 is half the ah of the 31 ..it cant be compared..how much power are u runnimg? And how bad does ur voltage drop? lighting is very sensitive to voltage drop I've seen them in with as little as .2 volts of drop..so if u get urself staying in the 13s fullt tilt and still have dimming ..id switch to hid headlights and the dimming will stop..but uf ur truly dropping low enough to justify dimmin like low 12s or 11s id get the electrical backed up first

im running a SAZ1500D and a SAX125.2 the SAZ1500 is going to be at 1ohm nominal not sure after rise. I have a 140amp factory alternator, and the 9a34 under hood currently.

when im absolutely beating on it at idle i was seeing 12.3 to 12.5 on really hard hits shoot back up to 14 quickly as soon as it let up.

Add a pair of 34s to the rear or a g31 and that will keep you in the 13s ..see if the dimming slows down

what is the difference between the 8a31 and 9a31? and is there a benfit to a single 9a31 over the 2 9a34s? or vice versa will one help with alternator stress? more than the other?

I know the 8a31 is the solar series i think they have the same ah and rc so not sure the benefit if any over the 9a31..and u will see the same results from a pair of 9a34s vs a 9a31..id do the 9a31 for space reasons and so u can add another if u up the power instead of adding 2 more 9a34s

Ive never seen a 8a31 at sams only the 9a31 ..im sure they will both work.thats the only batts i run i have a g34 and 2 g27s in the trunk

how do the g27s compare to the 31s and 34s? they are a bit more compact than the 31 right? the 31s length is what is killing me.

The 27 is a bit smaller ..not much u will have to look up a batt size chart to see for sure i wana say they are the same length just shorter...i laid my 2 on their side in my spare tire hole thats why i went with the 27s ..they are 100ah also..they are quite a bit bigger than the 34s

the g27 is a marine battery mainly right? Also i have a chance to get the odyssey pc-2150st for the same price as the deka. is it a better battery? and would it cause issues having it paralleled with the front deka?
