Going to be 2 Alpha 18"s What do you like about the alpha? How does it compare to the BL?

I love my 2 Alpha 10." I agree with chaunb about a great all around sub. They are clean, get low and once they're broken in they really get responsive. I personnally think they sound just as good as my XXX did and get WAYYYY louder. Of course I have more power going to 2 subs (3000 watts @ 2 ohms) which is most likely why they are louder.

People say RD this and RD that, but when it comes down to it, I don't think anyones quality compares to their subs, which is why they're expensive.

Nice! Any more opinions? I have heard they get nice and low and and would just be a better all around sub then the BL for my application.

i use an alpha

they sound very nice

take gobs of power and DC does not get warm

if you want a 15" $250 shipped

Ive got an alpha 12 somewhere around the house. Reliable sub, but dont expect it to take more than 2x its rating or anything super mondo amazing. It does exaclty what its been designed for.

Ya I am gonna be running 2 off a sundown 3000d at .5

i fed 1 alpha a rft40001bd @ 1 ohm

then a maxximus at 2 ohm

then a sundown @ 1 ohm

dc never got warm

still like brand new now

so i have had luck feeding 2500 to 5k to 1
